21C...

If you are ever in Kentucky, specifically the Louisville area,
book a stay at the 21C Museum Hotel. This 91-room boutique
hotel pays constant homage to 21st century art.
In addition — Proof, the hotel's award-winning restarurant,
serves some to-die-for country ham fritters.
The hotel's signature penguins were originally created by
Cracking Art Group for the 2005 Venice Biennale.
Each of the 40 penguins are numbered from a
limited edition run of 250.
With over 5000 square feet of art-filled space, 21c guests
experience authentic Southern hospitality while exploring
the work of contemporary artists in America's only
museum dedicated solely to art of the 21st Century.
In 2009, Conde Nast rated 21c the #1 Best Hotel
in the United States.
OK, so it's not very New Victorian or particularly rural —
still, it impresses with its sheer volume of creativity.

  2. Thanks so much Laura. We have started the shop's transformation to celebrate our 4-year anniverary. We will be hosting an open house on Saturday, June 12 from 10 until 4. I will be posting plenty of photographs shortly after. Once again, thanks so much for visiting my blog. Keep those comments coming —they are so encouraging and inspire me more than you know.
