Poster Art that transcends poster art...

This is Chicago poster artist Rich Kelly's
genius artwork for The Tallest Man on Earth.
The Tallest Man on Earth is the moniker for
Swedish folk musician Kristian Matsson.

Ellen O'Neill's New York Studio...

Graphic displays.
Sculptural elements.
Benjamin Moore's Linen White creating
a perfect backdrop for a personal gallery.
Plenty of personality.
A snow globe of ivory napkin rings.
An invitation to the perfect nap.
A wonderful easel trick. (Kicking myself for passing
one up this past weekend during our vintage
shopping trip.)
A handsome bar.
The one-room apartment is in a 1920's
Emery Roth-designed building.
One room with a balcony overlooking Gramercy Park,
fireplace, outstanding views, key to park
enticing, right?

Finderskeepers Warehouse Sale...

The Finderskeepers Warehouse Sale
and Summer Clearance Event is coming soon!
Watch for details!

Collaged Walls...

Designer David Kaihoi's small East Village apartment
houses one spectacular bedroom full of creativity,
space saving storage, and fantastic collaged walls.
A trundle bed for his daughter
only comes out at night.
The scale of the handsome antique doors from
Olde Goode Things creates an elevated sense
of space and grandeur.
The tattered, handpainted 18th-century
Chinese wallpaper has been applied
collage-style. In my opinion, the treatment
only enhances its beauty.

Back on track with Kitchen of the Year...

I apologize for the delay in posting. First was the weekend
buying trip (very successful!) — then I caught a little
bug that really put me under for a couple of days. Now
I am back on track and ready to share my two favorite
details in Jeff Lewis' House Beautiful Kitchen of the Year.
Featured in Rockefeller Center, the modern design
features an open layout, high-tech gadgets, and a cozy
seating area. I especially like this see-through wine rack.
I also enjoy this contemporary chandelier
over the rustic, reclaimed wood dining table.
The wood was salvaged from the old
Vanderbilt polo barn.

More Boxing...

This vintage print from Empiric of boxer
James Burke is currently available on
One Kings Lane (was $96, now $45).
Need or want? Decisions, decisions.

Boxing — in the bedroom!

Eclectic indeed.

Another Etsy Discovery...

After yesterday's Etsy discovery, I continued to look
around and found these "stitched" pieces by Rae Dunn.
Though Dunn designs a line of manufactured
wares available nationwide, the Etsy pieces
are limited editions and one-of-a-kinds.
I love the surprise inside. I think I might like them
even more without text.

Except here. Handsome aren't they?
