A couple more touches to the barn...

We added a couple more touches to our Freedom Fest barn stall. An overscale clock now hangs on the "stitched" wall — along with a pocket we created to hold our oversized business card. The event begins today!

Freedom Fest Barn Stall/Dining Room...

This weekend is the Freedom Fest fundraising event for the Humane Society. Along with Jon Carloftis, Country Living, and several other designers -- we spent the day transforming a horse stall into a dining room. The photo above shows the Finderskeepers Market horse stall before the installation. Please note the temperatures were in the nineties and no nails or staples could be used. Needless to say -- it was a challenge not unlike one of those seen on a reality TV design competition. Instead of trying to completely transform the space into a formal dining room, we opted to be inspired by the surroundings. We kept things simple and natural utilizing reclaimed woods, cotton canvas, jute, and a mix of vintage and modern accessories to evoke a cozy, yet stylish farmhouse aesthetic. On Friday, Badgley Mischka will be the guest speakers during brunch. Saturday brings the main event with auction winners dining in their chosen dining spaces. Thanks to everyone involved with the event, 90% of the all the proceeds raised goes to the animals.

Miami designer Mark Diaz is part of another unfortunate season of HGTV's Design Star -- still he has created these wonderful lights with the addition of some common objects.

On my radar -- Heir Antiques...

Feeling downright feverish after discovering Heir Antiques. Convetable goods, indeed!

Last Day of Atlanta Vintage... Part II

Some things I just had to photograph -- and some things I had to buy for the shop. Visit Finderskeepers Marekt soon to see all the new finds! I am so glad we took the time away from market to look for the little hidden gems we discovered this trip. We look forward to our next trip to Atlanta to revisit them all.

Last of Atlanta Vintage... Part I

What a great trip it has been. I'll follow up this post with a few more photos from our last day of vintage shopping.

Junking at Rust and Dust...

Here's just a sample of some fatastic finds we discovered at Rust and Dust in Chamblee, Georgia yesterday. I just wanted to share of few of these before we headed out to our favorite dive in Atlanta, The Silver Skillet, for what will surely be a tasty lunch. After that, some more antiquing and a possible trip back to market to make some final purchasing decisions. It's gonna be a fun Sunday! As always, stay tuned.
