So I am happy to see Grant's wonderful find

perched in his bathroom.

Then there is that perfectly

curated den (this is a rental by the way).

No excuses people. No need to wait

until the dream house comes along.

Design and decorate today with what you have.

The third image shows how to edit a vignette

down to the bare minimum for genius effect.

Lastly, the bedroom. I love the intense blue

with that amazing camel-colored headboard.

Does the bed look familiar? We sell one almost

simply added the padded headboard to his model.

Vintage Christmas + Open House...

Like the great little skier in the last photo, I am racing

as fast as I can. We are hosting our annual

Chrismtas Open House here at Finderskeepers

this weekend, and I always seem to run out of time

just before our big events. I keep telling myself things

will get done. And thanks to a few little elves (The Pams,

The Whittons, Randy, and Kay) — we just might have

everything looking perfect in time.

I am really enjoying all the great vintage pieces we have

found to offer this season. If you are not familiar

at her blog. She has such great display ideas

A Sinlge Man...

I can't wait to see Tom Ford's directorial debut,

A Single Man. The film stars Colin Firth,

Julianne Moore, and Jamie Bell.

Set in Los Angeles in 1962, A Single Man is the story of

George Falconer, a British college professor (Colin Firth)

who is struggling to find meaning in his life after the death

of his long-time partner, Jim (Matthew Goode).

We follow George through a single day, where a series

of encounters ultimately leads him to decide if there

is a meaning to life after Jim. George is consoled by his closest

friend, Charley (Julianne Moore), a 48-year-old beauty,

and is stalked by one of his students.
