I love the windows, especially around the door. Do you know who the people are? Where the photo was taken? When? I love old photos. I love that your dream house is not a huge sprawling one. I love your blog too. One day I'm going to hop on a plane with a fistful of dollars and come visit your shop.
I remember houses like that from my childhood ( NC) and they still set the imagination to spinning all sorts of stories about who lived there and what it was like .... now of course, I think of how I would Fix It Up :) besos, C
Nice choice for a dream house! I suddenly remember my grandfather’s home in this photo. He usually sat in his rocking chair at the porch while sipping his coffee. He would then yell at me and my brother to keep off his newly watered lawn. :p What I love the most about old houses is its family friendly structure.
An old house? That is cool! I wonder if the house is still standing today, but I do hope so. What I like about old houses is their vintage curb appeal. Although they are past their prime, time didn’t mar their beauty and appeal. Some of them need some major reno, but hey, you know that it is all worth it!
Tuesday - Saturday, 11 - 5 (call if you'd like for us to stay later)
Closed Sunday and Monday
"James Snowden is an interior decorator, shopkeeper and, as he styles himself, 'blog curator’ based in Kentucky... He’s a blogger of few words but many beautiful pictures of things that have caught his eye - furniture and curios that are gently distressed, and interiors of an almost ethereal stillness. It is all seductively soulful and makes you want to hop on a plane to visit his shop with a fistful of dollars." -- Gareth Wyn Davies, The Telegraph

Oh yes, I love the grand scale and symmetry.
