I wouldn't mind if my office looked like this...

Minimal, organized, functional, and stylish. Yeah,
all of those work for me.

Surrealistic Interior...

Perhaps it is because there is just so much going on here —
but the surrealistic slant still seductively pulls me in.
Then again, maybe it is just an opium haze.

Open Storage...

When the open storage is this beautiful, nearly anything
would look lovely simply placed on the shelves.

I love a good nook — and this fantastic retreat designed by
Tom Scheerer is the perfect little sheltered spot.

Monique & Keith Keegan's Personal Style...

Vintage Industrial?
Modern Country?

It doesn't really matter — I enjoy just about everything they do.
I posted about their home in Granville, Ohio a while back.
The images that Country Living captured remain some of my
favorite interior shots to date. If you have not see them,
take a look here.

Gather the family...

This family room gets a shot of Belgian style
courtesy of Kay Douglass. The horizontal planked
walls and the antique French doors on the media
cabinet are my favorite touches.
Of course I love all the natural history elements
in this Jill Morris-designed family room. Old globes
are always a favorite of mine.
leather and raw silk chesterfield sofas in this
Florida family room. The layered frames
and personal collections really
"cozy up" the space.
Mona Hajj designed this American cottage
family room using a soothing cream and blue
color palette. I love the paneled fireplace wall.

My Sparrow...

Vintage Industrial Metal Tray Basket / 42.
Every single pillow creation is amazing.
Just look at these Barbara Barry Poetical
Linen Pillows / 168.
Of course the vintage finds are my favorite.
Take a look at this Framed French Document / 98.
If you are not familiar with
My Sparrow's limited editions and
one-of-a-kind finds on Etsy, I suggest
you head over and take a peek.

Visually defined ruralism at its finest...

You've probably already read about J. Morgan Puett
on a few other blogs already, but I just could not
resist sharing these images here on the NVR.
Puett is a coneptual installation artist. As with the
work shown here, some of her projects recreate
vignettes that recollect her simple
southern heritage.
Her artfully arranged and studied spaces
seem plucked from some Appalachian shack
inhabited by someone with a flair for making
their simple, appreciated belongings shine.
Here is an old photo from a display at
her Wooster Street store in NYC.
Some of these images are also from Puett's Eastern
Pennsylvannia artists' colony, Mildred's Lane.
The 96-acre property has been described as an
experiment in romantic decay.
Read more about Puett's world here.

Beekman 1802 Milk Shake...

More fantastic packaging from The Beekman Boys.
The Beekman 1802 Goat Milk Bath Soak is a
Bendel's FNO exclusive.

Seeking some Fall color inspiration?

Look no further than Todd Haynes' 2002 drama,
Far From Heaven starring Julianne Moore.
I honestly don't think I have ever seen Fall color
look this ethereal.
