Styling for Kentucky Monthly magazine...

Here are a few outtakes I snapped with my iPhone while styling a November feature for Kentucky Monthly magazine at The Barn at Cedar Grove.  Yes -- I even had the opportunity to style the food for chef Jeremy Ashby of Azure.  So much fun!  Thank you to Jeremy, Abby Laub, Amy Mitchum -- and all who participated to create a lovely Fall spread.  A special thank you goes to Dave Campbell for arranging all the beautiful flowers.  Check out the feature beginning on page 20 of the magazine.

Fall inspirations...

I posted some great holiday and winter photos a few days ago to inspire me while transforming the shop for the holiday season.  It was certainly not my intention to overlook my favorite time of year and holiday -- so here are a few photos I've collected on Pinterest that speak to me of Fall and Thanksgiving.  Once again, the references might not always be direct -- but still, I relate to the images on a personal level and enjoy the mood they induce.  The color ochre, soft candlelight, comfort food, flannel shirts, and gatherings with friends -- they all bring the season to life for me.  Enjoy.
